Manga
A direct manga adaptation with the same title, begin serialization on Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Age February 2013 issue, illustrated by Takeshi Moriki.
Titled Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ~egoistic-lily~ (冴えない彼女の育てかた〜egoistic-lily〜), this spin-off is illustrated by NEET (にぃと) and focuses about Eriri. The manga was serialized on Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace, from its March 2013 until June 2014 issues, collected into three tankobon volumes.
Another spin-off of the series is titled as Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata: Koi Suru Metronome (冴えない彼女の育てかた 恋するメトロノーム lit. "How to Train the Ordinary Girl to be a Heroine: Metronome in Love"), setting Utaha as the protagonist and Tomoya as her sidekick, and has different story from the main part of the light novels. The manga is illustrated by Sabu Musha, currently being serialized on Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan starting the 2013 Vol.09 Issue.
Anime
An anime adaptation directed by Kanta Kamei on Aniplex's A-1 Pictures premiered on January 8, 2015 on Fuji TV's noitaminA block.
